NB: Yes, Dad, I was wrong about Donatello’s David. It is beautiful, but it wasn’t done for the same commission as Michelangelo’s David, which won a contest for the use of an irregularly shaped block of marble, maybe? I was thinking of Ghiberti’s doors or some shit. And yes, Elijah, Racine was a genius and Phedre is basically a perfect play.
